WW2 German Luftwaffe Dagger by Robert Klaas
WW2 German Luftwaffe Dagger, in excellent condition, maker Robert Klaas, Solingen, a fine 2nd pattern dagger with minimal wear as brought back, a couple of marks to the blade which has not been cleaned as yet. The blade has the maker's logo. The cross guard eagle is crisp and unmarked, dark orange handle which is sadly damaged from the pommel being over tightened at some point hence it is a little loose. Scabbard is undamaged with an even patina. The dagger retains its de-lux hanging straps though one side has become detatched, picture shows the loose threads under the hanger to show the straps. A nice example of a Luftwaffe dagger, nicely age toned and a very presentable veteran bring back sleeper, this dagger has been stored as brought back, had the grip and straps been in better condition then this dagger would be a lot more money. A fair price and bargain to somebody who wants a nice honest sleeper to perhaps improve.
