A very nice Afrikakorps DAK side cap, maker 'Heiler, Munchen' size not indicated though it is about a 56 or 57. The cap eagle is hand stitched, there is no roundle nor does there ever appear to have been. Some staining to the top other than that a good example of a DAK side cap.

GHC0005
A fine example of an M42 'raw edge' winter camo German steel helmet in excellent condition, complete with its liner which is maker marked and dated 1940, size 59. The liner is in 'lived in' condition, the leather is basically supple however it has began to go a bit with time. The helmet shell is in excellent shape, marked hk06? and batched 3466. The steel integrity has not been compromised at all, there are none of the usual bumps or dents. The helmet shell retains its white brushed paint across its surface, faint painted rings/bands showing through under the white paint, some minor blemishes and stains though these do not detract at all. The white camo paint was widely used throughout the war and such examples are shown within the reference works. The helmet came from the north west of the Hechtel area in Belgium, up toward the wooded region. A nice winter camo helmet
GHC0006
A fine example of an M42 'raw edge' German steel helmet in excellent condition, complete with its liner which is maker marked and dated 1943, size 57. The liner is in used condition, the leather is basically supple however there are scuffs and marks plus edge wearing, though this does not detract at all. The helmet shell is in excellent shape, marked Q64 and batched ?N538. The steel integrity has not been compromised at all, there are none of the usual bumps or dents. The helmet shell retains its dark grey paint across its surface, some minor stains barely visible. A nice honest M42 helmet

M35 Kriegsmarine double decal, both decals about 95%, liner size 53. This is a very unusual helmet, apart from its very small size, it has the NSDAP party shield as the 2nd decal in place of the national shield. This helmet has caused considerable discussion, some believe it is a child's helmet (however, it is the full standard steel specification), whilst others think it is a decal error or ceremonial helmet. Whatever way it is pure conjecture, but it is an excellent helmet.
GHC0008
M42 Dutch SS double decal, decals about 55% for runes (runes are on a painted white shield) and 50%+ for shield (where shield has come away from helmet the earlier German NSDAP party shield is visible), green painted and rough textured surface, liner size 56 dated 1944, chin strap maker numbered and dated 1940. This helmet came from the Giesbec area of Holland, near the German border towards Goch. Rare helmet.

Luftwaffe leather flying helmet model LKpW 101 in excellent condition, winter weight, fur lining. Ear phones fitted but lacking throat mike and jack plug, the cord point having been very carefully removed, this was quite common practice. This is a very nice example of the 101 flying helmet.
GHC0010
An SA mans peaked cap in reasonable to good condition. Hat has maker details in head lining , some mothing and damage to hat rear edge, see pictures, though this does not detract, however, price reflects.
GHC0011
An M42 'raw edge' German steel helmet in excellent condition, complete with its liner which is maker marked and dated 1940, size 57. The liner is in used condition, the leather is basically supple however there are scuffs and marks though in general looks like minimal wear. The helmet shell is in excellent shape, marked CKL64 and batched 5291. The steel integrity has not been compromised at all, there are none of the usual bumps or dents. The helmet shell retains its dark grey paint across its surface, some minor marks visible - see photographs. A nice honest M42 helmet
GHC0012
An interesting M42 'raw edge' German steel helmet in excellent condition. The helmet has a rare rivited transitional lining band with the M17 triple pad for the head lining. The 'liner' leather is basically supple in part however there are scuffs, dryness and burn marks on the pads, one has collapsed from the band - the helmet was recently recovered from a flak tower that had been damaged by fire and abandoned - one pat has a circular stamp with 'Zoll 1130'. The helmet shell is in excellent shape, marked EF66 and batched 1803. The steel integrity has not been compromised at all, there are none of the usual bumps or dents. The helmet shell retains its dark grey paint across its surface though the earlier darker paint is showing through on the top, minor marks visible - see photographs - the letters 'O.S.' are painted into the rear rim edge. An interesting M42 helmet for the descerning collector wanting a scarce transitional band example. Priced to reflect the pad damage.
GHC0013
An M42 'raw edge' German steel helmet in excellent condition, complete with its liner which is maker marked and dated 1943, size 58. The liner is in almost unissued condition, the leather is basically supple to going stiff. The helmet shell is in excellent shape, marked hkp66 and batched 5618. The steel integrity has not been compromised at all, there are none of the usual bumps or dents. The helmet shell retains a tan paint across its surface, some minor marks visible - see photographs. A nice honest M42 helmet that was most likely Balkans or Italy rather than Africa.

M35 Double decal Fire Police helmet, political style (double air vents), police decal almost untouched, slight scratch to top edge but does not detract, party shield almost intact though has minor scratch to swastika and scrape to top left corner of decal. A really nice example of this increasingly difficult to find helmet.
GHC0018
M42 Helmet
M42 Police double decal, police shield 85% but has been over painted in parts though decal basically clear, party shield 95% though painted in parts as per police decal. Possibly a camo varient due to paint pattern, green, tan & black, similar to Balkan colour schemes. Liner size 55 dated 1944.

WW1 M16 Transitional Helmet
WW1 M16, M17 liner (band only remaining) double decal army. Eagle 95%, shield 95%. Helmet has had numerous paintings in its life, at one point was yellow with a red band (military umpires) which has been thinly applied around the helmet and over the decals, though this does not detract in any way. Final colour was 'apple green'. It a shame this helmet can't talk!
GHC0021

An excellent example of a NSDAP stencilled eagle.

A nice M42 'raw edge' German steel 'camo' helmet shell in excellent condition. The helmet was recently recovered from a derelict French farm in the Gasson area of Brittany. The helmet shell is in excellent shape, marked EF66 (may well be ET69 - the strike isn't clear) and batched 2083. The steel integrity has not been compromised at all, there are none of the usual bumps or dents. The helmet shell retains its camo paint across its surface, very typical of the 1944 Falaise 'style', - see photographs - plus the remains of a decal are visiable along with the letters of a name painted into the rim right front edge. The helmet shell still has the 3 liner studs in place. An fine example of an M42 camo helmet shell. Priced to reflect the lack of liner.
GHC0036

An M42 'raw edge' German steel helmet in excellent condition, complete with its liner which is maker marked and dated 1943, size 56. The liner is in used condition, the leather is stiff, there are scuffs and marks and some edge wearing, it is possible that it has had some preservative applied at some time, though this does not detract. The helmet shell is in excellent shape, marked EF64 and batched 35877. The steel integrity has not been compromised at all, there are none of the usual bumps or dents. The helmet shell has had a really amazing 'art job' carried out on its surface - obviously applied post war, the so called 'victory' helmets favoured as war souvenirs by the occupation forces, though when it was done is impossible to say but it has been a long while. It has been a Red Cross single decal, possibly, as there is the Red Cross decal shape though this has been painted over with a Free French cross. The art work shows the '2 Dictators' Hitler and Mussolini walking away from a bomb. There is a further painting of Hitler within a victory 'V' on one side and the Allied flags to the other side. The rear shows a dead German soldier with the French cross in his heart with the date 1944. A lovely 'arty' M42 helmet with a story to tell and truely fabulous artwork. I think this has to be seen as artwork rather than just a helmet, an awesome display piece.
