Afghan War Rug - an early Afghan war rug from the Russian occupation period circ 1980s, excellent condition, approx size 120x80cm, lovely rich colours, a couple of minor moth runs, these are quite scarce for this time as not many of these found their way to the west, the more common are from the Gulf Wars. The quality is very typical of the Afghan hand made rugs, a top end item with historical context, these are pieces of art in themselves.
