WW2 German SA Dagger by Hammesfahr Cie, rarity level 7
An early SA dagger in very good condition retaining its leather hanger. Maker marked Hammesfahr Cie, Solingen, rarity level 7 in the Siegert reference. A clean blade though with marks where moisture had built up, may well polish back nicely. The reverse of the lower cross guard has the area letter 'S' for the Schlesien Group which included Breslau. The scabbard retains almost all of its finish, has the early solid nickel hilt and scabbard fittings, all of which are in good condition and no missing screws, the ball has the slightest ding and a small flat to the base. A nice early SA dagger to good maker and important rally and event area.
